Debbie is the proud owner of Heaven on Earth OTTB Rehab and Rescue:

"Horses were introduced to me when I was 6 years old. My parents would take me to a barn and say go have fun 

Back then it was freedom and independence. My sister and I would take off as fast as we could through the tall grass and wildflowers until our hour was up 

No lessons…just get on and figure it out …and that’s what we did. As I got older I favored  Dressage and took lessons but never had my own horse .

I started to see the abuse and neglect of our equine friends and I could not keep silent any longer.   I started helping other horse rescues in the Tri State area doing home checks, removing horses( being chased with a gun once and jumping a fence ..not too gracefully I might add) and intercepting kill pen horses from slaughter 

I decided in 2021 after my mom died suddenly that I would create Heaven on Earth-OTTBs rehab and rescue 

I felt my mom would always be with me and she always pushed and supported me in what I challenged myself to do on my own 

Now I am an active 501c3 charity that has 4 Sanctuary horses on the property. I welcome organizations, veterans, special needs, and weekend visitors to our rescue. I enjoy talking horseship and animal behavior and have been a speaker at many events and schools."
